Giorgia Orlandi is a foreign correspondent, video journalist and presenter with more than a decade of experience covering international news across Europe and the Middle East.

She has been working since 2019 for Euronews NBC as an Italy-based multimedia self-shooting reporter, producing television packages independently, shooting and editing her own stories. She has also anchored the network’s main news bulletins.

Over the years she has covered major global events including the migration crisis, the Covid-19 pandemic, the war in Ukraine and tensions in the Middle East. More recently she reported on the death of Pope Francis and from Syria following the fall of Bashar al-Assad.

Previously she worked with BBC World News, BBC Scotland, TRT World and Monocle 24. Earlier in her career she worked for RAI in London, reporting on major international stories including the Princess Diana inquest, the Meredith Kercher case, the London Olympics, the Chilcot Inquiry and the Litvinenko investigation.

Her articles and editorials have appeared in The Daily Telegraph and Monocle magazine. She is also a regular commentator on international affairs on Monocle 24 radio, appearing on programmes including The Globalist, The Briefing and The Weekend Edition.

 

She studied digital media at the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism in New York.
